This vintage children's fabric is filled with Ladybird's travelling on Butterflies, fishing from Lilypads and snoozing in leaf hammocks! It's a Sanderson design using the famous "Ladybird" brand created in the 1960's by Pasolds Ltd and is screen-printed onto a pale blue linen. This fabric probably dates from the mid-sixties and is rare. My camera is struggliong to pick up the pale blue of the background - the best versions are in the last two or three pictures above.
I've added these Ladybirds to quilts in the past so you could cut up this fabric for your own designs. Otherwise just use it whole to add a rare bit of sixties fabric history to a project. This is reclaimed fabric but in good condition. The two sides are neatly hemmed - one with the selvedge and attribution intact. The colours are still good and the fabric is strong. I spotted a couple of faint marks but nothing to really worry about.
This vintage ladybird linen measures 120cm across and is sold in metre lengths.
