Vintage Slow Stitch Kit - Vintage Fabrics - Sixties

A vintage tin packed with vintage fabrics, trims, buttons and threads.

This tin dates from around 1910 and still looks pretty good for its age! Now it's taken a leap into the future and is filled with vintage sewing items and fabrics from the 1960's for making and creating. 

This slow stitch kit is bright. It has four fab sixties fabrics - including some iconic Flowerpots barkcloth fabric by Tom Mellor. The other fabrics follow the colour theme and will work well together. There a 4 reels of vintage Sylko threads, also bright and cheerful and some bright pink buttons to finish it all off.

The fabric pieces measure 30cm x 30cm, 30cm x 35cm, 70cm x 45cm and 39cm x 45cm.  

These vintage slow stitch kits make great gifts, if you can bear to hand them over! If you decide to keep it, use the contents to make bags, cushion covers, patchwork and slow stitch projects like the one in the shop picture.
