This 1930's cotton is covered in colourful stamps and postmarks. It refers to Commonwealth countries and may have been produced to mark its creation. It feels very reminiscent of the period.
The background colour is grey and the stamps are printed in a limited colour palette of green, mustard and red. Nigeria, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Malaysia are the main countries featured.
This is a striking barkcloth and is in excellent condition. There are two pieces remaining - 30cm (w) x 70cm (l) and 60cm (w) x 50cm (l). Please let me know which you would like when ordering.
Perfect for patching denim, adding to a quilt, small bags and pockets.
