This is a large, Tintin fabric panel and shows Tintin and Snowy with Zorrino in scenes from Herge's 1949 book The Prisoners of the Sun. The central panel shows a large image of the friends treking through the undergrowth.
This is a large fabric piece that has been salvaged. There is an Aztec border to the top and bottom and the picture is on a pale yellow cotton. The main picture within the border is 163cm x 118cm and there is at least 12cm of yellow cotton to each side. Tintin measures approximately 48cm. As a single piece it would make a great curtain, blind or quilt cover but I have also seen these stretched over wooden frames and used as striking, original wall panels.
This Tintin panel is French and dates from 1994. It is a Herge copyrighted piece. It's reclaimed so has no selvedges but is in good condition.
There is a matching fabric in the shop - along with lots of other lovely Tintin fabrics and panels! This is one of my favourite Tintin fabrics, it doesn't turn up very often and it's often in poor condition so this is a bit of a treat.
