Vintage School Print - The Village

The Village - Anthony Maddox - 1972

A vibrant poster showing scenes in a british village in the early seventies. It is very much in the style of the Mr Ben stories for those that remember them. Designed by Anthony Maddox, a children's illustrator, it has the title and his attribution on the bottom border, as well as the date - 1972.

This print has the title and attribution to Charles Paine on the bottom border and is dated August 1964.

These images are crisp and colourful and this poster will frame up well. There is a tear near the telephone box, this should flatten when framed.

Overall size is 60cm x 45cm including a 1cm border.

Please note. These posters were sent to teachers as part of a booklet and do have old fold marks. These flatten when framed and don't detract from the print - they are just part of its history.
