This bright and colourful poster dates from 1964 and was one of a series of teacher's aids created by Evans Brothers. This one is called, Busy Days for Gardeners, and shows children planting flowers and playing in a lovely walled garden. The flower borders are filled with Hollyhocks, Delphiniums, Daisies and Marigolds. There's a robin on the wheelbarrow and a nest in the flowerpot. It's everything you would hope for in your garden!
The reverse has drawings for toy shops - a greengrocer and a draper and two short stories about Coalman Bob and Milkman Mike in the "Men Who Help Us" series.
Overall this vintage school poster measures 60cm x 45cm. It has folds but these do flatten when framed - I have another from this series in my kitchen and it looks great. This will come in a protected envelope rather than a tube.
There are many more vintage school posters in the shop.
