Unused, original CC41 printed Cotton. World War Two rationed fabric.
This rare cotton is screen printed with a Jacobean style floral design on an off-white cotton. The flowers are well spaced and the colour palette is limited but bright.
This fabric was produced as part of the government ration scheme between 1941 and 1952. Unlike the other fabric in the shop this one no longer has the CC41 utility mark stamped front and back as it is a shorter length. However it came with the stamped fabric and is woven to the same dimensions and uses the same colour palette. This was probably produced towards the end of the rationing period.
This is a lovely mid-weight cotton, suitable for clothing and household projects. It is in perfect, unused condition with selvedeges to both sides. The vertical repeat is 38cm.
It measures 77cm (30") across and is sold by the half metre. If you order more than one unit it will come in a continuous piece.
There are other unused fabrics in the shop from the same period.
