This French cotton by Romanex de Boussac is filled with stylised animals and birds inbirdcages and huts.
This vintage French fabric is called Buffon and was designed by Pascaline Villon for Romanex de Bousson. It dates from the 1960's and was sold as a nursery fabric.
It has charming illustrations of birds and animals in bright colours - I particularly love the Stag and the flamingo.
There are two pieces available, one has a pink background and the other a grey. The pink measures 40cm wide x 90cm long and has 8 complete images plus some extras. The grey measures 65cm x 75cm and has a selvedge with attribution on one side. It will give you 10 complete images plus extras and has a neatly hemmed edge to one side.
Please choose which you would like from the drop-down menu. There are lots of other vintage fabrics available in the shop.
