Big blowsy flowers on a screen print linen by the Mulberry Company from 1991.
This lovely, slubby linen is called Floral Rococo and is a fabulously dark version of the usual oversize floral designs. The background is a mix of dark olive tone and bown and the big flowers appear muted in colour and almost mysterious. (The clours are darker than the photos suggest - the browns on the last two are the nearest match).
This is an unused remnant and has one complete floral arrangement, measuring about 50cm high, plus extras. It's a heavyweight linen and would make a great slouchy bag or a cover for a vintage chair seat. There is a selvedge to one side with full attribution.
