This vintage children's fabric is filled with Ladybird's travelling on Butterflies, fishing from Lilypads and snoozing in leaf hammocks! It's a Sanderson design using the famous "Ladybird" brand created in the 1960's by Pasolds Ltd and is screen-printed on to linen. This fabric probably dates from the mid-sixties and is rare.
I've added these Ladybirds to quilts in the past so you could cut up this fabric for your own designs. Otherwise just use it whole to add a rare bit of sixties fabric history to a project. The cotton is unused and has been stored on a bolt for years. It's in good condition with bright colours. There are some old faint marks, and a couple of printing marks but nothing to really worry about. There are selvedges to both sides with full attribution.
This vintage ladybird cotton measures 125cm across and is sold by the metre, if you order more than one unit it will come as a continuous piece. Match it up with the othe vintage Ladybird cotton in the shop for a red and black theme!
