This fantastic screen printed textured cotton dates from 1968 and has scenes from the BBC series Hector's House.
This original, vintage fabric shows Hector, Zaza the cat and Kiki the frog in different scenes on a blue background. The series first aired on the BBC in 1968 so this fabric is from the earliest days of the programmes.
This is reclaimed fabric with selvedges to both sides and clear trademark and date markings. The cotton is soft but still strong with good colours and no stains or tears. There are a few small pilling marks. Please see the photos above for details.
Hectors House measures 60cm wide x 110cm long which gives two full repeats.
This is very rare fabric and an icon of sixties and seventies children's television. Frame it up, make a bag or cushion and enjoy!
