Original 1960's screen printed cotton/linen from Burgess Ledward with famous steam engines used as the design.
This is stunning fabric, the steam engines are incredibly detailed and the printing onto the fabric is crisp and with good colours. This is original fabric from the sixties, the design is called "Loco" and was marketed under the Burgess Ledward Duro label. It is very hard to find so grab some whilst it's back in stock.
Each engine is shown steaming out of a station and each is named - "Mallard", "Royal Train Pilot", "Royal Train Special" "Evening Star" and "Flying Scotsman". They measure approximately 25cm long and 11cm high.
This is reclaimed cotton in good condition with selvedges and attribution to both sides. There are faint stitch marks to the top or bottom of the fabric, and a slight fade to the top engine. See the last two pictures for details.
This fabric measures 118cm across and is sold by the half metre. There are two separate half metre pieces available.
