This beautiful Beatrix Potter linen dates from the 1950's and is my favourite of all the Potter prints. All the main characters are included in exquisite detail and the trailing foilage and line drawings that link them are just perfect. (Please note that the background colour is a lovely, even pale blue which, for some reason my camera struggles to capture. There are no colour patches or fades despite my camera's determination to make it look as though there are - so please bear this in mind. It is slightly bluer than the pictures suggest!)
Everyone that you might expect to see is included here. Mrs Tiggywinkle, Jemima Puddleduck, Squirrel Nutkin and Peter Rabbit to name a few. The colours and print quality are good and the fabric itself is strong and perfect for any number of projects - from upholstery to quilts.
This is a hard to find Beatrix Potter print and this is reclaimed fabric in great condition. The background colour is a pale blue and the images are printed in blues, browns and pinks which give this a lovely soft, vintage look. One side has a neat hem which I have left intact rather than cut into it, the other has the selvedge with full attribution.
This vintage linen is 119cm wide and sold in 70cm lengths. If you order more than one unit, it will come as a continuous piece to a maximum of 140cm.
