These vintage classroom posters date from the early 1930's. These three all have a theme of a thirties childhood, with all the traditional activities of the time. The illustrations are charming and full of detail and we have a bother and sister building a rabbit hutch, playing in a doll hospital and investigating a sundial. The gender roles are rooted in the 1930's too! There is a border along the bottom that shows elements from the main scene.
The posters are in great condition with nibbles and wear around the edges but the central images are all clear. They are printed on heavy white paper with crisp, clear colours. They each measure 35cm x 37cm and have been stored flat so no creases.
These thirties prints were the first to be designed as talking points for classrooms and they are rare survivors of the time.
They look fantastic framed up and displayed together if you have the space. Otherwise they are perfect for adding a bit of vintage style to any room all on their own.
Price is PER POSTER - please select from the drop-down list above. Rabbit, Sick Doll or Sundial.
