This vintage Sanderson fabric is one of my favourite prints. I love the drawing style of the animals and the colours used to print them. It dates from the 1960's and is called Hippity-Hoppity. Various creatures are shown trying to keep dry in the rain; so we have a Toad with a mushroom umbrella, a Cricket and a Ladybird with leaves, a Mouse with an ear of wheat...
The animals are between 16cm and 27cm high and well scattered across the white background. You could divide this up if you wanted to use some of the images in a quilt or patchwork project. This is a curtain weight cotton so good for all kinds of makes.
This vintage Sanderson is a rare find. This is reclaimed cotton with selvedges to both sides, one with the Sanderson attribution. The colours are good and bright and I can't find any marks or damage. There are stitch lines running down the sides where seams have been unpicked and a stitch line and faint fold to the bottom edge - see the photos.
Hippity-Hoppity measures 116cm across and is sold in lengths of 50cm which will give you 5 or 6 complete images. (The vertical repeat is 70cm so if you want a complete set please order 2 units.) If you order more than one unit, it will come as a continuous length to a maximum of 1 metre.
