Sold. I'm out looking for more but in the meantime head to the shop for more lovely things at www.handmadeandvintage.co.uk
This vintage Hector's House cotton is screen printed and dates from 1968. It is filled with scenes from the original BBC series.
This is an original, vintage fabric and it shows Hector, Zaza the cat and Kiki the frog on a white background. The series first aired on the BBC in 1968 so this fabric is from the earliest days of the programmes.
This is reclaimed fabric with selvedges to both sides and clear trademark and date markings. The cotton is soft but still strong with good colours and no stains or tears. The sides are neatly hemmed, which I have left, but all attribution marks are visible.
There are four pieces available. Each measures 110cm across x 80cm long. This gives you one complete repeat of all the images plus some extras.
This is very rare fabric and an icon of sixties and seventies children's television. Frame it up, make a bag or cushion and enjoy!
