This charming vintage tin probably dates to the 1930's. It's free from manufacturers marks so the original purpose is unknown but it probably contained fruit drops or boiled sweets of some kind. It's a delicate pink with a miniature portrait in th ecentre of the lid. There is a lovely double border around the lid and this is echoed in the art deco patterns areound the side.
The condition is good for the age of this thirties tin. The lid, sides and base have good colour with only minor wear. There are a couple of small dents to the side but nothing serious and they don't affect the funtion of the tin or the lid. Inside is marked and has some rust spots. I think it was used to store something which has left marks to the inside. The lid fits well and is easy to remove and replace.
This is a really pretty tin - perfect for display.
