Sold. I'm out looking for more but in the meantime head to the shop for more lovely things at www.handmadeandvintage.co.uk
This lovely vintage tin is a survivor from the late 1930's/early 1940's and has a stylised chinese theme on the outside lid and sides.
The top has a large blue bird flying over a chinese building and tree. The red sides have other, willow pattern style scenes in gold and the words "5lb Nett Weight Made in England" printed on the back of the lid.
Inside the lid is a bright orange with a blue and gold border. The blue bird appears again and the words 'Blue Bird Luxury Assortment, Harry Vincent Ltd, Hunnington, Worcestershire, England'.
The lid is hinged and closes with a latch on the front.
The tin is in good vintage condition for its age. There are no serious dents or deep scratches. The outside has signs of wear and some rust patches, the inside lid is fresh and the colours are bright. The lid is a tight fit where the front of the tin has bowed out slightly but it does shut and can be opened. Have a look at the images for a clearer idea of the condition.
