Original 1970's screen printed linen from Riverdale with vintage fire engines, firemen and dalmations used as the design. It is reclaimed with selvedges to both sides.
This is a stunning American linen, the engines and characters are very detailed and the printing onto the linen is crisp and with good colours. This is original fabric from 1976 and is in very good condition with a very slight, overall fade. The linen is an off-white/ecru and is overprinted with more images in a slightly darker colour.
The engines shown span several decades, as do the firemen's uniforms. The dalmation dog is constant! The fire engines measure between 16cm and 30cm in length.
This linen would make a gorgeous shoulder bag - imagine it lined with a contrasting pattern - lovely! The engines would cut well for patchwork projects and it would make a nice piece of vintage wall art in a boy's room.
There is just one full width piece of this vintage linen left which measures 115cm wide x 85cm long. This will give you one complete repeat.
