This Storybook cushion is filled with vintage children's characters arranged in a crazy patchwork style. Holly Hobbie, Rupert and Alice in Wonderland find themselves rubbing shoulders with Noddy, Ladybirds and even...the Queen!
This one has muted pinks and blues as its colours and is suitable for any age.
These cushions, like the storybook quilts and lampshades, are designed to help tell stories using familiar characters. The idea is that the images can be used to create new adventures, either by an adult to a child or for a child to themselves.
This cushion measures approximately 44cm square and comes with a feather inner. The back of the cushion has an envelope closure - there are no sharp zips or small buttons so this is suitable for children of any age.
The front is created by sewing original fabrics to calico and embellishing them with a stem stitch in a contrasting thread. The back has a blue and white striped cotton. Each of these cushions is unique.
This cushion is designed to be used and loved - hopefully it will be treasured long after childhood days are over.
