This stunning vintage fabric shows Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh and friends in various scenes from AA Milne's famous stories. These are the original EH Shepard illustrations - not a Disney character in sight.

This looks like a linen fabric, but on closer inspection I think it is a cotton/rayon mix which would date it to the 1940's or 50's at a guess.

There is a copyright mark for AA Milne and EH Shepard on the selvedge but there is no date and I can't find a manufacturer listed for this print. I can't find many references to it either which suggests that it may be quite rare.

The fabric is in vintage condition, with strong colours, clear print and no marks. There are a couple of tiny, holes in these last two pieces. They are not on the pictures though so could be darned or worked around.

Each of the remaining pieces measures 110cm wide and 55cm long and will give you one of each of the illustrations. These are fairly well spaced so if you wanted to cut around them for a quilt, you could. These remaining two pieces are cut tight to the bottom so the bottom right picture is cropped on rabbit's feet - I have cropped the above image to show you. There may be a faint fold line to the bottom.
