Original Classroom Poster - Bonfire Night - 1966

This 1966 classroom poster is titled Bonfire Night. It's from an original painting by Alan Jesset and was supplied to teachers by Evans Brothers.

This vibrant picture shows a bonfire party with sparklers, fireworks and a guy atop a roaring bonfire. The colours are vibrant and this would be a great talking point for a child's bedroom or nursery wall.

These original posters are classroom prints from the 1950's and 60's. This one is dated 1966 and was supplied folded and printed on the reverse with useful art projects for the children.

It measures 58.5cm x 43cm and is in good vintage condition for its age. It is printed on good quality, matte paper and the colours are vibrant. There is a blue paint mark to the sky - see the above photos- and the original creases are visible in places, but these will flatten with framing. The outer, white border has a few nibbles and pin marks and the beginings of a tear but all these are covered by the card mount and backing board.

It will be posted flat and ready to drop into a frame.
