Sold. I'm out looking for more but in the meantime head to the shop for more lovely things at www.handmadeandvintage.co.uk
This lovely Rupert duvet set dates from 1986 and has a large printed picture of Rupert pointing to kite on the front. The scene is beautifully detailed with a castle and various animals and plants plus most of Rupert's Nutwood chums. Everyone is here, from Algy to the talking fish!
The back of the duvet is a soft, yellow cotton mix which fastens with poppers, all of which are intact. The pillowcase shows a portrait of Rupert with his trademark scarf. It is a yellow cotton and dated slightly earlier than the cover but in good, unused condition and matches well. There is some lovely matching Rupert fabric in the shop if you want to make accessories and cushions to match.
This is a single bed size and a lovely clean set with no marks or tears and with good colours. It was originally made by Hamilton Mcbride and shows the original, Daily Express, Rupert the Bear drawings. Both duvet and pillowcase are marked with the Express Newspapers Copyright.
