Sold. I'm out looking for more but in the meantime head to the shop for more lovely things at www.handmadeandvintage.co.uk
This 1967 Fothergay Cotton is covered in characters from the Disney film The Jungle Book which was released the same year. It is printed on a sunny yellow background and is in fantastic condition for it's 46 years.
Mowgli, Sheer-Khan, the elephants and Baloo are just some of the characters featured. Overall the colours are still bright, there is a slight fade on one side near the selvedge but it's gentle and doesn't affect the pictures - more the yellow background.
There is a print error that has tiny white dots every now and then - again these don't detract from the overall fabric. (You can see an example in the top picture).
There is a selvedge to one side of this fabric with clear markings. It was printed in 1967 and is very hard to find in this condition. It's perfect for cushions, bags, quilts and clothes. Framed up, it will make a gorgeous piece of vintage wall art.
