Sold. I'm out looking for more but in the meantime head to the shop for more lovely things at www.handmadeandvintage.co.uk
This vintage children's fabric shows Tufty and his chums demonstrating the importance of road safety. Tufty Fluffytail was cborn in 1953 but reached his peak of popularity in the early to mid sixties which is when I think this fabric was created.
This is a brushed cotton, it feels unused with no pilling or marks and is still strong. The images are scattered across the fabric with strong colours and a clear print.
All the main characters are here, including Willie Weasel and Policeman Badger. The drawings are charming and nostalgic and, or course, the advice is wise!
This Tufty Club fabric would be perfect for any project really, but particularly nice as a cushion or part of a quilt I would think. I've never seen this before so if you love it, grab it quick - I don't think there's a lot around.
It measures 58cm across and is sold by the half metre. If you order more than one length I will always try to send a continuous piece if possible.
