Say Bonjour to Francine! She's a fibreglass mannequin, covered in original prints and text from French women's magazines dating from the 1940's and 50's. Francine is an example of the mannequins that I cover, each one uses original images and is completely unique.
All of the images are taken from the pages of Le Petit Echo de la Mode, an iconic French Magazine which provided the women of France with fashion, beauty, home and personal advice from the 1880's to the mid 20th century. The magazines used on the colour mannequins usually date from the late forties to the mid fifties and use illustrations rather than photographs. The drawing style, colours and paper used at that time all combine to create a wonderful period feel on the mannequin.
Every mannequin that is created is unique. The decoupage work is coated with 5 layers of varnish to protect the images from sunlight, water and general wear and tear. These pieces are effective as sculptural pieces in any room but are great in bedrooms for displaying clothes and accessories whilst keeping them neat and tidy.
Francine's vital statistics are: 34" x 24" x 33" (86cm x 58cm x 84cm). The mannequin is 71cm high and comes complete with a chromed adjustable stand (60cm - 97cm), matching base and neck cap.
These mannequins are made to order and take one week to complete.
UK delivery costs for Francine will be £15.00. Please contact me for overseas delivery costs .
