This small tablecloth or traycloth would make a lovely centre piece to a quilt or throw if you don't want to display it in a conventional way. But it would also look very pretty on a small bedside table.
It's in finest linen and the pattern is worked in small cross stitch with occasional stars. I think that the lace edge work is also hand done and caught into the hem.
In very good vintage condtion. There are a couple of snagged stitches in the lace. The picture below shows the worst one but one small stitch would catch this in again.
There is a hand sewn laundry mark to the underside edge.
A very pretty piece measuring 58cm x 46cm to the edge of the linen centre. The lace edging adds approximately 3cms all around.
