This super-wide, handmade edging is beautiful and has lot of work in it. It originally edged a white cotton tablecloth and was saved when the cloth itself fell apart. It's been left 'square' so could be used to enhance another cloth or you could cut it into lengths.
The edging is 24cm deep and made with cotton. If measured as a square, the inner sides are 60cm, the outer edges measure 100cm on each length.
This lovely trim is in very good vintage condition. Close inspection reveals that it has been made in strips that have been joined together lengthways to make the width required. On one side there is a loose thread on the edge and a gap in the middle of the trim where the stitching has come loose, both of these would be easily fixed. The edging on the inner side is loose in places but could easily be trimmed away.
